Birchgrove Oval

Birchgrove Oval is a ground based in the Balmain District and holds a significant place in Rugby League history.

The first premiership match in Australia was held at Birchgrove Oval back in 1908.

The ground is along Grove St (approx No.80 if doing a map search) and also links into The Terrace.

There’s very limited park and allow extra time to find parking and walk to the venue. Once in the venue there’s Sydney harbour views whilst watching the football.
